Informations on BLUE SHEEP’S MILK CHEESE FROM THE BASQUE COUNTRY – URDINA

Traditional, non-standardized products whose weight may vary from one item to another (+/- 15%)

Discover Urdiña, the latest creation from Maison Agour: a Basque blue sheep’s milk cheese that combines tradition and originality. Behind its appearance as a classic sheep’s cheese lies a beautiful marbled paste, revealing a unique character: a subtle alliance between the milky sweetness of sheep’s milk and the aromatic intensity typical of blue cheeses.

On the palate, Urdiña surprises with its particularly creamy, buttery texture, melting delicately in the mouth. Its flavor, both mild and intense, makes it a cheese of contrasts – balanced and generous – able to delight both lovers of strong blue cheeses and those seeking more delicate notes.

Versatile and indulgent, it naturally finds its place in all your culinary creations: enjoyed as is on a cheese board, adding creaminess to fresh pasta or a gratin, enriching a savory quiche, or melted into a sauce to accompany meat. Thanks to its refined yet approachable character, Urdiña quickly becomes a must-have in your kitchen and on your table for moments of sharing.

With Urdiña, Maison Agour continues to highlight the richness of Basque sheep’s milk and the excellence of artisanal know-how, recognized and rewarded at the world’s most prestigious cheese competitions.

Excellent cheese in the shop in Helette, disappointing when it traveled across France in the heatwave (Translated review)

    Merchant's answer

Mr. Gontier, Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased to know that you appreciate our Basque sheep's blue, especially when you enjoy it from our shop in Hélette. However, we are sorry that your experience upon receiving this order did not meet the standards of your previous tastings. You took the precaution of choosing DPD delivery to your workplace and planned a cooler to receive your cheese. Nevertheless, as specified when choosing the delivery method, transport by DPD is carried out in a non-refrigerated vehicle. During periods of high heat, a sensitive product like cheese can therefore experience a rise in temperature during its transport, even before its reception. For our cheeses, we recommend prioritizing Chronofresh when temperatures are high, in order to benefit from temperature-controlled transport and best preserve their qualities until delivery. If you find that your cheese has been altered or damaged during transport, our after-sales service is of course at your disposal at the address venteenligne@agour.com. We hope to soon have the pleasure of bringing you back the full quality of our sheep's blue and our specialties of Basque gastronomy. Best regards, Maison Agour Etxea
