Located in the heart of the Basque mountains, in Ispoure, just 2 km from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, Domaine Abotia embodies the authenticity of the Irouléguy vineyard in the inland Basque Country.

This family-run estate produces red, rosé and white wines certified AOP Irouléguy, reflecting a distinctive terroir where generous sunshine meets mountain soils, resulting in wines that are sincere, warm and deeply rooted in their origin.

From the inland Basque Country, this AOP Irouléguy wine reveals a deep, intense colour, a true reflection of its assertive character.

On the nose, it offers warm aromas of black fruits, enhanced by spicy notes and a subtle oak influence, inherited from its ageing in oak barrels.

This characterful red wine is born from a well-balanced blend: 65% Tannat, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, then refined through ageing in oak barrels.

This AOP red offers a fine structure, intense notes of black fruits and spices, and an elegant complexity on the finish.

Its well-controlled power makes it an ideal partner for Ossau-Iraty sheep’s milk cheeses from Maison Agour Etxea: it highlights their milky finesse, reveals their character, and extends the gourmet experience.
